Modifying Active Schedules
The Schedule monitor is available as soon as a Schedule has started and allows you to modify some parameters in the Schedule object definition. The changes you make this way are permanent and will be applied from the next execution of the Schedule onwards.
The Schedule Actions button on the toolbar provides all the functions that are available for the Schedule. Some of them allow you to edit the settings of the Schedule object.
Not all parameters are editable. Periods and period turnarounds, for example, cannot be changed in active schedules. If you need to change them, you must restart the schedule.
Changes done to the Schedule and its tasks are recorded in the Reports.
To Modify the Definitions of the Schedule Object
- Click the Modify button in the toolbar to activate the edit mode.
- Expand the Schedule Actions button.
-
Click or middle click Source Object > Open Object.
- Modify the Schedule definitions as required. For more information, seeTo Define a Schedule Object.
Validation Checks
When you modify and save the properties of the Schedule, the system performs validation checks in the background. If a task is active, it prompts you to confirm your changes.
- Click Yes if you want your changes to be applied from the next period turnaround onwards.
- Click No if you want to apply the changes only after restarting the schedule. This must be done manually.
Recalculating the Next Start Time
Schedules and tasks within Schedules can have Calendars assigned to them. The definitions of Calendars or Calendar Events can change. Activate this option if you want the Schedule monitor to apply such changes automatically.
Reloading the Definition at Period Turnaround
If selected, changes done to the Schedule definition are applied with the next period turnaround. A tick next to this option indicates that this function is activated.
You must have Write (W) and Modify at runtime (M) authorizations to perform this operation.
