Variables Tab

If the object definition of a task inserted in a Workflow includes object variables, these variables are displayed in the Variables tab. When the task executes from within the Workflow, these variables apply, unless you modify their values explicitly. In the Variables properties tab you can override the values of the object variables. This means that, when the task executes from within the Workflow, the values resulting from the object variables are taken from the definition in the Variables properties tan and not from the object definition.

The Variables tab also shows if the variable is inherited from a parent, if it is configured in the task itself or if it comes from a PromptSet.

Important! Adding or deleting variables is not possible here. You do it in the object definition.
