AE and Azure Blob Storage

Azure Blob Storage, Microsoft's industry-leading object storage service, is the standard storage cloud solution for many Automic Automation users. Customers of all sizes and industries use Azure Blob Storage to store (upload and download) unstructured data such as text and binary data, to move and monitor it, to delete it and so forth.

Integrating Automic Automation with Azure Blob Storage allows you to automate the storage operations on Azure Blob Storage. With Automic Automation's powerful capabilities, you can define Jobs to schedule, orchestrate and monitor the following operations for Block Blob Jobs:

  • Copy a blob from a container to another one

  • Delete a blob from a container

  • Download a blob from a container

  • Check whether a blob exists in a container

  • Monitor a blob for create/update/generate operations

  • Upload a blob to a container

This integration capability, like all integrations of the Automic system, can support service orchestration workflows. Such workflows orchestrate automated processes that run across multiple platforms, domains, and applications to deliver a specific IT service. For more information, see About Service Orchestration.

Important! The release cycles of the Azure Blob Agent Integration are independent of the Automic Automation ones.
