ECC User Authorizations: Overview

To give users and user groups authorization to see and work with Automation Engine (AE) objects, you have to authorize them to the folders that the objects are in. This topic provides an overview of all the authorization levels for AE objects. For information about which authorizations that users of each perspective need, see Authorizing Users to the ECC.

Where user authorizations for the ECC can be defined

You grant users authorizations to AE objects and folders in their user definition or in the definition of a user group that they belong to. You can manage authorizations for users and user group in two places:

• The AE Desktop Client
• In ECC's User Management function in the Administration perspective

The authorization levels

The following table lists the authorization levels that you can give users to AE objects and folders.
