This document informs about performance optimization settings and general requirements for using the Automation Engine.
Your Server computer is the core part of AE and data-center automation. Using adequate performance and security features is therefore crucial.
Refer to the hardware requirements in the chapter requirements for operating AE.
Deactivate low-current functions and dynamical cycle adjustment in the BIOS on the Automation Engine computer if x core AMD CPU is used.
Make sure the operating system and software is correctly installed on the computer.
Make sure a trace is only activated when necessary. When writing a trace, the trace file must be open and closed for each job. This leads to significant performance losses.
