UserThe User object records a user's AE logon settings, its user-group assignments, folder assignments, access rights and privileges.

To access AE system's client, you must at least define one user. In the Automation Engine, single users are created as User objects. The first user of a new client must be defined in system client 0000 and then be assigned to an already existing client. You can select the command Duplicate/Link/Move and Move To... from the context menu for this purpose. If this user is provided with the adequate authorization, all further users can then be created in the local client.
User objects are an integral part of the Automation Engine's authorization system. The settings established for a user influence the functional range of that user's work in AE.
User objects are created and maintained in the UserInterface's Explorer. The User object's name is composed of the user's name and his/her departmentDepartment name to which the Automation Engine user belongs., separated by a slash. A maximum of 200 characters is allowed for this combination.
In an AE system's system client 0000, the "UC/UC" User object is supplied with the passwordA secret combination of characters for a Automation Engine user. "UC". This user is absolutely necessary for the administration and operation of the AE system. You should NEVER delete or rename this user. Immediately following the installation process, you should change this user's password. New Client objects and initial User objects for these clients can be set up in the system client after you have logged on by using the user "UC/UC".
User object names in the system client 0000 may not start with an "X_" in their names. This combination is reserved for system objects exclusively.
If a local user is provided with adequate authorization, additional users can be created after this user logs on to the local client.
