About the CallAPI

The CallAPI can be used to process a script in the AE system. Thus, processes in the AE system can be triggered from externally.

There are numerous ways of using AE - you can start executable objects, set or read contents of Variable objects, get particular information about task states etc.

Use the script statement :PUT_READ_BUFFER to supply the script variables of an activated object with values.

Scripts started via a CallAPI are displayed in the Activity Window and a statistical record including a report is created. Use the selective statistics to search for it specifying type API or its RunID.
