Moving Tasks in the Workflow and Panning
The Workflow editor provides graphic tools that help you design your Workflows. The floating toolbar in the editor is one of them. It contains several buttons. The first button in the canvas tool activates the Move mode. Workflows open in Move mode by default.

The Move mode lets you do the following:
Moving the Canvas (Pan)
To pan, click on any empty space on the canvas and drag the view. Alternatively, use the up/down/right/left arrows on your keyboard.
Sometimes it can be difficult to find an empty space where you can click. For example, in big embedded Workflows that you have expanded. In this case, you can do the following:
-
Space bar + drag
Press the space bar on your keyboard and drag the view
-
Middle-click + drag
Press the wheel on your mouse (middle-click) and drag the view
You can also use these options if you have selected a task and you want to pan without deselecting it.
Moving Tasks in the Canvas
You can select one or more tasks to drag and drop them elsewhere in the Workflow. When you move tasks in bulk, you can only drop them in an area with enough free space for all selected tasks. While moving the tasks to their end position, they are displayed in red if there is no enough free space.
When moving multiple tasks, their original design (order, position, connecting lines) is kept in their final destination. If they are connected to other tasks, the connecting lines are moved accordingly.
You have two options to move multiple tasks:
-
Switching to the Selection mode
- Activate the Selection mode.
- Select the objects you want to move. For more information, see below.
