Task Properties in Workflows

You design Workflows by inserting objects and connecting them to build the Workflow logic. Objects that are inserted in Workflows are called tasks. If necessary, you define specific properties for each task, also for the START and END nodes. These properties apply exclusively when the task is executed from within the Workflow. They are not saved with the object itself.

To access the Properties pane, right-click a task in the Workflow editor and select Properties. Alternatively, click the Properties button in the toolbar. The properties pane is displayed on the bottom half of the editor. It contains several tabs:

• General Tab
• Calendar Tab
• Variables Tab
• PromptSets Tab
• Time & Dependencies
• Conditions, Preconditions, Postconditions
• ForEach Tab
• Runtime Properties

When you open one of the tabs in the Properties pane, the Automic Web Interface system stores this information. If you close the pane, select a different task in the Workflow or interact with the Workflow in any way, and then come back to the properties of that task, the Properties pane opens to the tab that you last visited.

The same applies to the scroll position within a tab. If you scroll down to enter or select data in any of the sections of a tab, this information is also stored. If you leave the tab and come back later, it opens to that position.
