Installing the Online Documentation

 

Automic Automation 's product documentation is always up-to-date and available online at docs.automic.com

. However, in environments in which your users will not have Internet access, you can host it internally on a web server of your choice.

AWI on an Application Server

If you are running AWI on an application server (Tomcat, WebSphere and so on), you must install the documentation locally either on the same machine in which AWI is installed or at a shared location.

To Install the WebHelp Documentation

All Guides and Messages

  1. From IMAGE:DOCUMENTATION\GUIDES\WEBHELP, copy the language-specific .zip file.

  2. Unzip the contents of the .zip file in the designated location.

  3. (All Guides only) Configure the configuration.properties files for each AWI. For more information, see configuration.properties - Configuring Your Local Setup.

AWI with the Jetty Launcher

If you are running AWI with the bundled Jetty Launcher, you must host the documentation internally on a web server of your choice.

Notes:

  • AWI and the documentation have the same browser compatibility. For more information, see Compatibility Information or access the compatibility matrix directly.

  • The helpUrl.pattern parameter in the configuration.properties file points to the web server where the documentation is hosted. For more information, see Online Help.

  • Enable JavaScript to be able to use the complete documentation functional range.
