ZERO_DOWNTIME_UPGRADE

Systemwide variable that enables or disables a mode, which prepares the system for a version upgrade without system downtime.

  • Allowed values: Y and N

    • Y: A database upgrade is allowed while the system is fully up and running. New CPs/WPs can be started for working in a compatibility mode, with their peers of a pre-installed version.
    • N: Database upgrade not possible, if the system is running. All CPs/WPs must have the same version.
  • Default value: N

Important! The parameter is set to Y automatically when a Zero Downtime Upgrade is started. During that time, the system performance is reduced because certain system optimizations are not possible in this mode. Also, the message "System upgrade is in progress." is displayed in AWI.
