Modifying Tasks

Modifying some of the properties of a task is possible provided you have the necessary rights. You change the properties of tasks in the corresponding task monitor or in the Tasks list in the Process Monitoring perspective.

Task modifications apply exclusively to the particular execution of the task that you are changing. The source object is not affected by these changes. When the object is executed again, the original configuration applies.

Tip: Add a comment to your modification to keep track of your changes. See Adding Comments.

Modifying Source Objects May Affect the Current Execution

When an object is manually modified in the Process Assembly perspective, when saving it the system checks whether it is currently being executed and. If so, a message is displayed that prompts you to confirm the changes. The reason is that runtime changes may affect the ongoing execution.
