Extended and External Output Reports

In addition to the standard reports, your system can generate the following extra reports for Job objects: Extended reports and external output reports.

Extended Reports

Extended reports provide additional information to the Script, JCL, and Object Access reports.

As a system administrator, you determine whether and which extended reports should be created using the EXT_REPORTS key in the UC_CLIENT_SETTINGS - Various Client Settings system VARA object. This setting applies Client-wide.

As a developer and object designer, when you define an object you can also specify whether extended reports should be created. You do this in the Extended Reports section of the object General Page. This setting overrules the definitions that are made by the administrator user in the UC_CLIENT_SETTINGS variable and it applies only to that particular object.

External Report Settings

You can register external reports in the following ways:

• Using the :REGISTER_OUTPUTFILE script element.
