Configuring the Business Objects Agent
In the Agent object, select the General menu item and respond to the fields on the right side of the screen. If you will be emailing Webi email notifications, select the Webi Email Notification menu item and respond to those fields as well.
Specifying General Settings
To specify general settings for a Business Objects Agent.
Next, fill out the fields described below.
- Connection
- System
- Status Polling
- Connection Timeout
- Allow Email Attachments
Select a Business Objects Web Service Connection object.
If when logging into CMC, you need to enter a CMS system name here (because you have more than one).
Specify the number of seconds between status checks once a connection has been established (default 10 seconds).
Set the connection timeout to the Web server (default 60 seconds).
Allows you to determine whether to allow users to email output files.
Specifying Webi Email Notification Settings
To specify Webi Email Notification settings for a Business Objects Agent, select the Webi Email Notification menu item on the left side of the screen.
Next, get the following field values from the Business Objects server and fill out them out as described below.
- Host
- Port
- Sender
The SMTP host
The port for the SMTP host
The sender for the email messages. You can use the Select button to select a single sender from the users on the Business Objects server.
The values can be copied from CMC by:
- Selecting servers, then Web Intelligence Services.
- Right-click on the AdaptiveJobServer.
- Select Properties.
- Select Destination and Email.
