Defining Create Directory Operations for HDFS Jobs

To create an HDFS directory, select Create Directory in the Operation field for an HDFS Job and respond to the fields on the bottom of the screen.

  • HDFS File

    • The path and name of the directory to create. You can use the folder icon to browse to the beginning of the path.

  • User

    • The Hadoop user name. If this field is left empty, the default HDFS user will be used.

  • Permissions

    • The UNIX permissions for the directory.
