Defining Delete File/Directory Operations for HDFS Jobs

To delete an HDFS file or directory, select Delete File/Directory in the Operation field for an HDFS Job and respond to the fields on the bottom of the screen.

• HDFS File

The file or directory to delete. You can use the folder icon to browse to the file or directory.

• Recursive delete folders

Check this box when deleting a directory rather than an individual file.

• Fail if not Found

Check this box if you want the Job to fail if the file to delete doesn't exist.
