Defining Set Owner Operations for HDFS Jobs

To set ownership for an HDFS file, select Set Owner in the Operation field for an HDFS Job and respond to the fields on the bottom of the screen.

• HDFS File

The file or directory to set ownership for. You can use the folder icon to browse to the file or directory.

• User

The Hadoop user name. If this field is left empty, the default HDFS user will be used.
