About ServiceNow Service Connector (SNSC)

The ServiceNow Service Connector connects ServiceNow with CA Automic Services. It reads the Automation Engine services (workflows and prompt sets) via the Automic Rest API (SAPI) component and generates ServiceNow service catalogs out of it.

SNSC extends the ServiceNow Service Catalog so that a ServiceNow user can order workflow executions (for example, provisioning of a virtual machine) as a service.

The ServiceNow Service Connector is based on the concept of ServiceNow UpdateSets, connects to and publishes the services of CA Automic Service API (SAPI) and requires authentication via OAuth Authentication Service.

Main functions:

• Import Automation Engine services into ServiceNow dynamically, scheduled and ad-hoc
• Mirror prompt set values and their ranges within ServiceNow dynamically
• Trigger service execution from ServiceNow
