Troubleshooting, Root-Cause Analysis and Remediation

The Process Monitoring provides the tools you need to recognize and investigate abnormal behaviors and then take actions like escalation and remediation. This list outlines the activities you need to perform and indicates the areas in the Process Monitoring where you perform them:

  1. Monitor processes and recognize abnormal behaviors in the Tasks list.

As soon as an object is executed, it is displayed as a task in this list, where you can check its properties (activation, start and end times, runID, and so on) as well as its status and the status of its children (if available). It provides key execution and status data. From this list you access all functions available for the task. Here you can identify the tasks that failed. For more information, see:

  2. Investigate the abnormal behaviors.

Once you have identified the tasks that require your attention, you start investigating the reasons why they failed. To understand what happened, you have the following tools:

  3. Automic Automation's Gen AI capabilities help you investigate any issue. For more information, see:

  4. Escalate and/or remediate

From the list of tasks, the Executions lists and the monitors, you have access to the actions on the failed tasks that are available depending on their statuses and on your rights and permissions. For more information, see Available Functions Depending on the Task Status.
