Analyzing Scripts with the Automation AI Assistant

Automic Automation scripts can be large and complex and understanding them can be cumbersome. You can leverage Automic Automation's Gen AI capabilities using the Automation AI Assistant to analyze an entire script or just parts of it. The Automation AI Assistant responds in natural language describing what the script does, breaking down its content and explaining each element. If it finds errors or potential issues, it points them out and suggests how to improve the script. You can ask it to provide the answers in any format that you need (json, markup language, etc.) and you can have conversations with it in any language, not just in the language of your interface.

To Analyze a Script or Part of a Script with the Automation AI Assistant

  1. In the script editor, do one of the following:

    • Select the part of the script that you want the Automation AI Assistant to explain.

    • Do not select anything if you want an explanation of the entire script.

  2. Right-click and select Analyze Script or Analyze Script Element. The Automation AI Assistant pane that opens on the right hand-side contains an explanation of the script, a breakdown of its contents and, if applicable, it indicates errors and potential issues and suggests fixes.

  3. If you need further explanations, type your questions in the Ask Automation AI Assistant field at the bottom of the pane.

  4. To clear or exit the chat, click on the three dots to the right of the chat box and select the option you need.
