You can access Automic Intelligent Remediation in two different ways, through DX Operational Intelligence or through Automic Automation.

This page includes the following:

Login Through DX Operational Intelligence

You access Automic Intelligent Remediation automatically from the DX Operational Intelligence platform. Single sign-on caters for a seamless user experience; your login data is automatically taken over and you do not need to enter your credentials again.

Once you have logged in, your user role determines the perspectives that you have access to.

Logging In as an Operator

From the DX Operational Intelligence alarm list you open the Process Monitoring perspective after triggering a remediation Workflow.

  1. In DX Operational Intelligence, in the Alarms view select the alarm and open the Overview tab.
  2. From the Recommended automation actions (Confidence) section, you trigger remediation Workflows and access their monitors.
    • To open the monitor of the Workflow that has most recently triggered, click the name of the Workflow that is immediately below Remediate an Alarm.
    • To open the monitor of any of the previous Workflows, click History. The list of the Workflows that have been executed so far is displayed. Click any of the links to open the monitor.

Logging In as a Designer

From the alarm list, you open the Process Assembly and the Process Monitoring perspectives, where you can create and modify remediation Workflows, monitor them, and so forth.

To open the Workflow monitor (Process Monitoring perspective), use the instructions described in Logging In as an Operator in this topic.

To open the Workflow editor (Process Assembly perspective), where you can edit the Workflow, click the App Launcher in the DX Operational Intelligence menu bar and select Automic Automation:

Important! Remediation Workflows are stored in the AIOPS folder in the Explorer list.

The AIOPS folder is synchronized with the alarm list in DX Operational Intelligence. The Workflows that you store here are immediately visible and available as remediation Workflows in DX Operational Intelligence. This applies also if you add sub folders with Workflows within those sub folders.

Logging In as an Administrator

As an administrator, you can log in from the alarm list as an Operator or a Designer would do and then change the perspective by clicking Administration in the menu bar. However, you can also get to the Administration perspective without going through the alarm list.

You have two options:

  • Open the Automic Automation for AIOps capability from the DX Operational Intelligence launch pad
  • Click the App Launcher in the DX Operational Intelligence menu bar and select Automic Automation

Both options open the Process Assembly perspective from where you simply click Administration in the menu bar to access the Administration perspective.

Login Through Automic Automation

Once you access Automic Automation through DX Operational Intelligence and then log out from Automic Automation, you can use the redirect functionality to get to the DX Operational Intelligence login page directly from the AWI login mask. To do so, you must have created the UC_AIOPS_LOGIN_ENABLED and UC_AIOPS_LOGIN_URL environment variables in your OS. For more information, see Integrating DX Operational Intelligence.

To Log In Through Automic Automation

  1. Access Automic Intelligent Remediation by logging in to DX Operational Intelligence as described in Login Through DX Operational Intelligence.

You are now logged in to the Client in Automic Automation that you are assigned to.

  2. Log out of Automic Automation by opening the dropdown menu in the upper right corner of the user interface and selecting Logout.

  3. The Automic Automation login mask is displayed. In Login Type, select AIOPS.
