New Scheduler – Primary Connection Tab

The instance of AutoSys desired for the new connection is defined on the Primary Connection Tab. The connection can be either the production instance of AutoSys or the backup AutoSys server, which may be preferable in some environments.

  • Scheduler Name: Supplied by user
  • Scheduler Type: AutoSys
  • Scheduler DBMS: Select the database type of the AutoSys database
  • Host Name: Enter the hostname of the AutoSys database
  • Port: Enter the port that the AutoSys database is on
  • Database Name/Oracle Service Name: Enter the name of the AutoSys database or Oracle Service Name.
  • User ID: Enter the name of the user that has at least read access to the tables listed below
  • Password: Enter the password
  • Timeout: Optionally, enter a JDBC socket/read timeout in minutes different from the default of 0 (no timeout). Only use if needed under guidance from Tech Support
  • Custom connection string: Optionally, enter a custom JDBC connection string

For pre-R11.x AutoSys instances such as AutoSys 4.5, the user must have read access to the following AutoSys database tables:

  • alamode
  • calendar
  • event
  • glob
  • job
  • job2
  • job_con
  • job_status
  • machine
  • proc_event
  • timezones

For AutoSys R11.1, the user must have read access to the following AutoSys database tables:

  • ujo_alamode
