Cross-Scheduler Compatibility
AAI not only supports cross-scheduler dependencies in jobstreams that hand over processing to different scheduler instances of the same scheduler type, but also among schedulers of different types.
If your organization uses more than one type of workload automation scheduler, such as both AutoSys and Control-M, you might have processes that cross over those schedulers. If both schedulers are defined in AAI and the scheduler types are compatible, AAI can create jobstreams that visualize the entire process flow.
As with processes that involve different instances of schedulers of the same type, when you have a process that involves schedulers of different but compatible types, you can see the end-to-end process on one Gantt chart that also shows the cross-scheduler dependencies. When one jobstream reflects the entire process, you can define an SLA for its true deadline and alerts that reflect the state of the entire process. Those advantages and aggregated execution data, you are able to do more meaningful monitoring and jobstream analysis.
