ONE Installer - Best Practices

The ONE installer installs Automic Automation and its CA Automic dependencies from a single executable. The ONE installer should only be used to install a single-box setup of Automic Automation where all components, including database server, are installed on the same box.

When to Use the ONE Installer

The CA Automic ONE Installer is only suitable for installing Automic Automation on a single server.

Use the installer if you only require a single-box installation.

Prerequisites

The ONE installer depends on the system requirements detailed in the Installation Requirements section of the ONE Installer, see ONE Installer - Single-Box Installation. The server should not have AEor AWI installed. Additionally, the following is required to use the ONE Installer:

  • Ports – The following ports must be available:
    • 80 (for Internet Information Services)
    • 2217-2221 (for Communication Process connections)
    • 2270-2279 (for Work Process connections)
    • 8005, 8009, 8080 (for Tomcat connections used by AWI)
    • 8871 (Service Manager)
    • 8090 (Analytics Backend)
    • 5434 (Analytics Datastore)
    • 8081 (Analytics Rule Engine/Event Engine)
    • 9092 and 2181 (Analytics Streaming Platform)
  • Relevant database driver (SQL Server Native Client 11 for Microsoft)
  • JDBC driver for the desired database
  • Empty AE database and users, see Preparing for the Installation
  • Ensure that the database server and client have TCP/IP connections enabled
  • Administrative rights to execute the installer
