Prompt Formats for Ad Hoc Jobs and Process Flows

You can define prompts so that users can select values from lists when they request them on an ad hoc basis. The values available and format of the prompt's data come from the data type you assign to the prompt and the prompt's definition.

Some prompts allow users to select either one or multiple values from a list of values on the Submit window. The values available and format of the prompt's data come from the data type you assign to the prompt. When you pick a data type that allows you to select values from a list, you determine whether users can select a single value for the prompt or multiple values.
