Creating Components

You are allowed to create a component if you are the owner of the application and have the appropriate permission on the folder of the application. (See Security)

To Create Components

1. Click the Create button in the All Components list (see Viewing Components). The Create Component dialog is displayed.

   

2. Enter the name of the new component. It has to be unique within its application and may only contain alphanumeric characters, blanks, ".", "-", "_", "@", "$", "#".
3. Enter the component type. All types for which you have create permissions can be selected.

   The selected component type cannot be changed after creation.

4. Enter the name of the folder where you want to store your component.
5. Enter the owner of the component. The current user is selected by default.
6. Click Create.
