STR_CAT

Script Function: Combines two strings to a new string

Syntax

STR_CAT (String1, String2)

String1, String2

Alphanumeric string
Format: script literal or script variable

 

Return code

String consisting of the two specified strings

Example

In the following example, the function STR_CAT is used to create a title and store it in a script variable ("Daily Analysis 12.01.2005").

:SET &PROCESS# = "Daily Analysis "
:
SET &DATE# = SYS_DATE("DD.MM.YYYY")
:
SET &TITLE# = STR_CAT(&PROCESS#, &DATE#)
