Assigning the User to User Groups

Users can be assigned to one or more user groups. User groups are means to grant users authorizations to objects and privileges in addition to those you give them via the Automation Engine sub pages.

To Assign a User to a User Group

To add a user to a user group

  1. Select the desired group on the Not member of list.
  2. Do one of the following.

    • Click .
    • Drag it and drop it on the list to the left.
  3. The group is inserted in the Member of list.

To remove a user from a user group

  1. Select the desired group on the Member of list.
  2. Do one of the following.

    • Click .
    • Drag it and drop it on the list to the right.
  3. The group is inserted in the Not member of list.

You can also move groups from one list to the other in bulk clicking Ctrl and selecting them.

The user will automatically have all rights and permissions that you define for any of the groups that the user belongs to. However, any rights and permissions that you define for the user in the other parts of the user definition apply only to the user, not to any of the groups.
