Client 0 VARA Objects in Other Clients
As a system administrator, you can create user-defined VARA objects in Client 0. Developers and object designers can use them in other Clients when they define executable objects. VARA objects that are created in Client 0 have an extra section that is called Variable Usage in Other Clients. You define here the standard behavior of the object when it is used in other Clients. The following options are available:
-
Don't share but allow duplicates
This option allows you to modify all the attributes of the VARA object independently in Client 0 and in any other Client in which it is used. As a result, the attributes of this object can be different per Client.
You can keep the original name of the VARA object in non-0 Clients. If there is already a VARA object in the non-0 Client with this name, two independent VARA objects with the same name will be available.
-
Share and allow read-only access
This option does not allow you to modify any attribute of the VARA object in Clients other than 0.
The name of this VARA object must be unique system-wide.
-
Share but keep attribute settings from system client
This option is available for STATIC VARA objects only. It allows you to copy the VARA object from Client 0 to other Clients but keeping the settings defined on its Attributes page. You can edit the Key and Value settings in the non-0 Clients.
