Task Properties in Workflows
As a developer and object designer, when you create a Workflow you add objects to it. When objects are inserted in a Workflow they are called tasks. To build the Workflow logic, you connect the tasks. If necessary, you define specific task properties. These properties apply exclusively when the task is executed from within the Workflow. They are not saved with the object itself.
Accessing the Properties Pane
-
Right-click a task in the Workflow editor and select Properties.
-
The properties pane is displayed on the bottom half of the editor. It contains several tabs. Click the links below for a detailed description of the properties available in each tab:
- General Tab
- Calendar Tab
- Variables Tab
- PromptSets Tab
- Time & Dependencies
- Precondition and Postcondition Tabs
- Runtime Properties
- Rapid Automation Solution Tab: The task properties of Rapid Automation solution Job objects differ from the standard ones provided with AWA. For Rapid Automation Agent documentation, see https://docs.automic.com/documentation.
Notes:
-
You can define properties not only for the tasks in a Workflow but also for the START and END nodes.
