Monthly Calendar Events

You use this type of Calendar Events to specify dates or periods that occur in monthly intervals, for example month's end closing, mid-month reporting, etc.

When defining a monthly event take the following into account:

Note:

Calendar Events have a validity period that the system administrator can specify in the NOW_MINUS and NOW_PLUS keys (see UC_CLIENT_SETTINGS - Various Client Settings).

To Create a Monthly Calendar Event

  1. In the Process Assembly perspective, click Add Object and select Calendar.

Define the general settings as described here: Adding Objects

  2. On the Calendar page the days of the year that lie in the past are grayed out. This is a mere visual help; any Calendar event that you define here will also affect past dates.
  3. Click the Add Event button.
  4. From the drop-down menu select Monthly. The Edit Monthly Event pane is displayed.
  5. In Happening On you specify the days of the month that will be selected by this event. You have two possibilities:

    • Defined Days

Choose this option to specify exactly which days should be included in the event. On the Days panel, click the dates you want to include.

    • Every [x] days

Choose this option to define a recurrent pattern. Optionally, you can Set Monthly Limits to specify a recurrent pattern on the first half of the month.

  6. In Count From specify whether the event should calculate the dates starting at the beginning or at the end of the month.
  7. Define the Interval in which this monthly event should be effective, which can be either Every Month or Every [x] Months.
  8. Optionally, activate the Set Yearly Limits checkbox and select the starting and ending months to define the beginning and end of the event within the year.
  9. Click Apply & Close to preview the results.
  10. If you are satisfied with the results, click the save button on the toolbar or the Apply & Close button at the bottom right corner of the page to return to the Calendar Events pane.
  11. Click Save on the Calendar toolbar.
