Creating Stack Templates

After adding a Stack Provider you will create two new Stack Templates, one for a Database JDBC deployment target and another one for a Tomcat deployment target.

To Create Stack Templates

1. Go to the Release Automation perspective.
2. Click the Provisioning accordion tab.
3. Click Stack Templates.
4. Click the Create button. The Create Stack Template dialog is displayed.
5. Enter a name for the Stack Template. For example: My Tomcat.
6. Select the Stack Provider which will host the image. The Stack Template will run on this provider.
7. Select a folder to store the Stack Template.
8. Define one user or user group as template owner.
9. Click Create. The Properties view of the Stack Template is displayed.
10. Select the Deployment Target Templates tab.
11. Click Assign in the toolbar to assign one or more deployment targets to the Stack Template.
12. Select the deployment targets you want to assign and click [OK].

Repeat the previous steps to create a second Stack Template.
