Using Automic Automation

  Automic Automation is an object-oriented solution. These chapters describe all Automic Automation objects, how to design and use them and how to execute them:

  Operators and managers

  As a developer and object designer, you monitor the objects that you have created to verify that they behave as expected. As an operator, you are responsible for keeping an eye on the day-to-day business and to make sure that the automated processes run smoothly.   The Dashboards and My Catalog Perspective chapters describe configurable workspaces. Depending on the authorization policy that is applied at your company, they may contain access to functions that are relevant for developers and object designers and/or operators and managers.

• Administrators

  Some objects are stored and maintained centrally in Client 0 and are available for selection in the combo boxes of all other Clients. These objects are typically managed by administrator users and they valid for the entire installation. Developers and object designers can select and use them when they are defining an object. Login (LOGIN), Connection (CONN) and Time Zone (TZ) objects are examples of these objects.

  The Automic Automation solution provides all the capabilities that you need to implement your automated service orchestration scenarios: a strength in complex workflow automation coupled with a multitude of add-on and built-in integration options.
