UC_EX_ERP_CONNECT - Connection to Enterprise Business Solutions

This Variable (VARA) object contains connection specifications to the particular Enterprise Business Solution. It is supplied in the system client 0000 and its settings apply to the whole Automation Engine system.

The predetermined setting for the validity key is Host - each host name, which entries contain agent names. The appropriate connection specifications identified by the agent itself are listed in the Value column. Both, the agent name and the information of the Value column, are relevant to make full use of the functionality of the Form tab of PeopleSoft jobs. For more information, see PeopleSoft Jobs.

A connection to the particular Enterprise Business Solution can be established when these jobs are opened. The data required is determined by the selected agent and the corresponding entry in the variable. You can use script elements in the Form tab. Particular values can be taken from the Enterprise Business Solution accessing the existing data.

Note: If you don't want the agent to retrieve the connection string automatically, you can specify one using the UC_EX_ERP_CONNECT parameter in the INI file of the agent.
