Executing Immediately
As a developer and object designer, after defining an object in the Process Assembly perspective you can execute it to check if it behaves as expected. Right-click the object and expand the Execution Options menu option to select the type of execution you need. Alternatively, use the Execute button on the toolbar. As an operator, you execute tasks from the My Catalog or Dashboard perspectives.
This option executes the object immediately using the values entered in its definition.
To Execute Objects Immediately
-
Do one of the following:
- Right-click the task and select Execution Options > Execute.
- Select the task and click the Execute button on the toolbar.
There are two possible scenarios:
- If PromptSets or :READs have been defined for this object, the task will not be executed until you enter the required data. The application will display a message prompting you to enter it.
- If no PromptSets or :READs have been defined the object is executed according to your input.
-
A message indicates whether the execution has been successful or not. If successful, a pop up is displayed that provides one of the following links, depending on the type of object you have executed:
-
Open Monitor
