Configuring the CDA Web Application
The configuration settings for CDA are stored in the following files:
-
VARA objects:
- RM.CLIENT_SETTINGS VARA object
- RM.SYSTEM_SETTINGS VARA object (created in client 0, accessible from any client)
The values that are saved in this object are only retrieved if a value with the same key has not been defined in the RM.CLIENT_SETTINGS VARA object of the client.
Notes:
- The RM.CLIENT_SETTINGS and RM.SYSTEM_SETTINGS VARA objects contain global definitions (general configurations for the web applications), application, approval, deployment-related, and execution parameters for CDA. The RM.CLIENT_SETTINGS VARA object is created by the Release Manager Unified Upgrade tool.
- The settings defined in these VARA objects override the configurations of the customer.config file and the system default values.
- If you have installed a new CDA system manually or with the ONE Installer, or if you have performed a manual upgrade of the system, you can change the default configuration by creating the objects manually or importing the VARA templates located in the Automic\Release.Manager\AE folder.
-
customer.config file (Automic\Release.Manager\WebUI\customer.config)
In this file you can configure connection parameters to the AE, application elements (including all definitions related to the application module), integration with external systems, and activate the Performance Monitor.
-
In the web.config file
In this file you can configure HTTP (default) and HTTPs endpoints.
- In the log4net.config file
