Release Automation Perspective
As an Application Developer, Operator or Administrator, you use the Release Automation perspective to define Application deployments.
The Release Automation perspective has the following main elements:
Navigation Pane
The left navigation (Navigator menu) shows the main entities in CDA /Applications, Workflows, Environments, and so on).
The number and type of entities that are displayed depend on:
- Administrator permissions
- Create type permissions
- Folder permissions. See Required Folder Authorizations
Notes:
- You can only see those main entities where you have read permission for at least one object belonging to that entity.
- Only CDA administrators can change user permissions. See Assigning Release Automation Permissions
Toolbar
The toolbar on each page shows you where you are (for example, in the Workflows list). It may contain extra buttons, such as the one to create an entity (for example, a new Component).
Main Content Area
The main content area can look different depending on the use case. It usually displays a list containing entities of a certain type.
Details Pane
In the Right Panel, you can edit the properties of the selected entity.
You can change the size of the sidebar by dragging the handler or clicking the arrows on it. The size of the sidebar is saved on a per-page base, meaning you may have different sizes of the sidebar for, for example, your workflow list and for your component properties.
