Windows Agent - File Transfer Support
When defining File Transfers (JOBF), you can specify additional Windows-specific file attributes and file formatting options for the destination file. You specify them in the Destination Settings > File Attributes field on the File Transfer page of the object definition. You can specify several OS attributes and options, separating them with commas.
If you select the Keep Original File Attributes in the Transfer Settings section AND you specify File Attributes in the Destination Settings section, the attributes that you have specified for the destination overwrite the original ones. If you have specified new file attributes, these attributes are added those already available in the original file.
Windows-Specific File Attributes
You can specify the following additional file attributes:
- ARCHIVED
- COMPRESSED
- ENCRYPTED
- HIDDEN
- READONLY
- SYSTEM
You can set the following values to the attributes:
- YES
- NO
Example: ARCHIVE=YES, HIDDEN=NO
Additional Formatting Options
You have the following options to modify the formatting of the target file:
Source File Formatting
If the source file has been created in an operating system other than Windows, you may have to modify its format. You have the following options:
-
reclen
Record length specified in bytes
-
nl=mixed
A CR character at the end of a line can corrupt the file in some systems. Use this option to automatically remove this character.
Destination File Formatting
If you are defining a File Transfer object that should transfer a Windows file to a different target system, you may need to modify how line breaks are formatted. Use nl (insert new line) for this purpose.
Allowed values: crlf, lf (default) and none
- crlf - carriage return and line feed
- lf - line feed
- none - no line break
Example: nl=crlf
