Version Management Page
Every change made to an object creates a new version of that object. The Version Management page lists all versions of an object and it provides access to the object details and parameters as they were defined in each version. It also allows you to restore the object to a previous version and to delete a version. This page is available for all object types. Your system administrator can activate and define the behavior of this function in the UC_CLIENT_SETTINGS and UC_SYSTEM_SETTINGS variables.
The Version Management page provides the following information:
-
Version
Chronological order of the change, where 0 is the oldest version. Click the arrow to rearrange the list in ascending or descending order.
-
Version Name
The name of the version. By default, it is the object name plus a suffix that ensures that the version name is unique within the client.
The suffix is appended to the object name when the change is saved and consist of the following:
- OLD
- Change date
- Change time
Date and time refer to the time zone of the client.
However, your system administrator can specify a different format for the suffix. In any case, it must not exceed 8 characters.
-
Title
The object title (optional).
-
Date, Time
The date and time of the previous change. If this is the first version of an object, this date is the creation date.
-
Modified by
The name of the user who performed the change.
