DELETE_CHECKBACK_LIMIT

Systemwide variable that determines two aspects of the behavior of objects when users delete them.

  • Description: When you delete an object, the system uses the Search for Use function to check if the object is referenced by other objects, see Search for Use. This process can take some time, depending on the number of objects to be deleted simultaneously. With this variable you determine the following:

    • Whether the system should check if the objects to be deleted are referenced elsewhere

    • If so, the value you enter here is the maximum number of objects for which the Search for Use function is triggered automatically after deleting, without the system prompting users to confirm.

If the number of objects selected for deletion is higher than this value, the system asks users whether they want to check where the objects are referenced. If it is lower, the system deletes them without checking their use.

  • Minimum value: 1

  • Default value: 10

  • Restart required: No

Note: In the Customized Confirmation Dialogs, you can define deleting objects without a check back. However, if the number or objects to be deleted is higher than the value defined here, the system still prompts you to confirm your action. For more information, see Customized Confirmation Dialogs.
