UC_TLSGATEWAY_ASSIGNMENT - Assigning TLS Gateway to non-TLS/SSL Agents

This Variable (VARA) object allows you to assign a TLS Gateway or a list of TLS Gateway instances to non-TLS/SSL Agents to carry out File Transfers between TLS/SSL and non-TLS/SSL Agents. It is supplied with system client 0000 and can be copied to other clients and customized as needed.

  • Key: The name of a non-TLS/SSL Agent or a name filter with wildcards to target a group of agents matching the filter

  • Value: The name of a TLS Gateway or a list of TLS Gateway instances separated by a semicolon

If you define a single TLS Gateway instance, it is selected first. If establishing a connection to the selected TLS Gateway is not possible, then the default, random selection takes place. This means that the Agent tries establishing a connection with one of the remaining TLS Gateway instances that have not been tried out yet. You can use wildcard characters with a single expression to target a group of gateways. For example, TLS_GTW.DC1.*.

If you define a list of TLS Gateway instances, one of the instances listed is randomly selected. If establishing a connection to one of the instances listed is not possible, the Automation Engine selects another one from the list, and so on. If none of the listed TLS Gateway instances assigned can be used for the File Transfer, then the default, random selection takes place. Here too, the Automation Engine selects one of the remaining instances that have not been tried out yet. If you have defined a list of TLS Gateway instances, you cannot use wildcard characters.
