Agent for Google Cloud Composer - Agent Object

The Agent for Google Cloud Composer establishes the connection between the Automation Engine and the Google Cloud Composer on which your Airflow DAG jobs run. The Agent starts the execution of these jobs and makes both their monitoring and the corresponding reporting possible.

You define the Agent for Google Cloud Composer on the following object definition pages:

Common Pages

GC Composer Page

The Agent for Google Cloud Composer consists of an additional GC Composer page. On this page you specify the Google Cloud Platform Project ID that identifies the project to which the Agent will connect. You must identify the project right after installing the Agent. Once this is done, you must authenticate the Agent, otherwise, you will not be able to start it.

This is not the only way to identify the Google Cloud Platform project ID, though. You can also accomplish this using environment variables. For more information about how to do this, see Installing the Agent for Google Cloud Composer.
