Refresh Interval
The task bar in the Process Monitoring perspective contains a countdown indicator at the top right end that shows the remaining seconds until the view is refreshed. This countdown indicator is also a button; click it to refresh the view manually. In addition, you can predefine the refresh interval in the login and session Settings dialog. The refresh interval affects the list of tasks and the content of the Workflow and Schedule monitors.
To Set the Refresh Interval
- Open the dropdown menu at the top right corner of the menu bar and select Settings.
-
On the Settings dialog, open the Process Monitoring tab.
-
In the Monitor section you set the refresh interval for the Workflow and Schedule monitors. In the Tasks section you set it for the list of Tasks.
-
Manual
The data is not refreshed automatically. The Process Monitoring toolbar does not display the remaining time indicator but only the refresh button.
-
Default
By default, this interval is set to 90 seconds. However, your system administrator can specify a different refresh interval in your User definition. If this is the case, the following situations are possible:
-
If your User definition contains a value higher than 90 seconds, the Default option here displays the value set in your User definition
-
If your User definition contains a value lower than 90 seconds, the Default option here is not affected by the value in your User definition and displays Default (90 seconds).
-
-
User defined
Select this option and specify the interval. By default, the value suggested here is the one that your system administrator has entered in your User definition. If you change it, the new value cannot be lower than the default value.
Allowed values: 0 to 999 seconds
-
Tip: You can always refresh the list manually by clicking the refresh button on the toolbar. Alternatively, you can press F5.
