Oracle Application Objects

Oracle Jobs define the necessary parameters to run scripts on Oracle target systems. Oracle-specific Jobs can run independently or they can be added to a Job Group (JOBG) or to a Workflow. For more information about the integration between the Automation Engine and Oracle, see AE and Databases.

Defining Oracle Jobs

An Oracle Job definition is made up of the following pages:

Responsibility Section

  • Key

    Oracle user responsible for the job. It can consist of up to 100 characters.

  • App. Short Name

    Short name of the application that runs on Oracle. It can consist of up to 50 characters.
