Useful Calendar Events

Even if your company uses many company-specific calendar dates, some are generally helpful when processing tasks. These tables list the most important ones and describe their attributes.

Weekly

weekly calendar events

MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY

Each individual day of the week is stored as an individual calendar event

WEEKDAYS_MON_TO_FRI

Contains all Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays

WEEKEND

Contains all Saturdays and Sundays

Monthly

FIRST_DAY_OF_MONTH

Contains the first day of a month

Select day 1 in the calendar definition and the option Count from: Beginning of month.

LAST_DAY_OF_MONTH

Contains the last day of a month

Select day 2 in the calendar definition and the option Count from: End of month.

Yearly

yearly calendar events

QUARTER_1, QUARTER_2, QUARTER_3, QUARTER_4

There is a calendar event for each quarter.

Select Happening On: Defined days in the calendar definition and specify the quarter's start and end date (e.g.: 01.01. until 31.03).

Group

WORKDAYS

Designates all weekdays from Monday to Friday except holidays.

Select the WEEKDAYS_MON_TO_FRI calendar event in the calendar definition and combine it with the holiday calendar of your country.

Offset

offset calendar events

FIRST_WORKDAY_OF_MONTH

Designates the first workday of each month.

Select LAST_DAY_OF_MONTH as existing event and define a matching offset event. Specify the WORKDAYS calendar event as target event and select Match to nearest target date: after or on .... Enter 1as additional offset.

SECOND_WORKDAY_OF_MONTH

Designates the second to last workday of each month.

Select LAST_DAY_OF_MONTH as existing event and define a matching offset event. Specify the WORKDAYS Calendar Event as target event and select Match to nearest target date: after or on .... Enter 2as additional offset.
