Installing the AE, ServiceManager, JWP, JCP, and REST Process
The following steps will help you install the Automation Engine, the ServiceManager, JWP, JCP and the REST process. Also, it will guide you through setting up a distributed server environment.
Notes:
-
You must install CAPKI on all computers in which the Automation Engine, the ServiceManager and any of its clients will run. For more information, see CAPKI - Securing the ServiceManager and ServiceManager.
-
Do not use blank spaces when naming the directories for the Automation Engine and the Agents. For more information, see https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/102739/long-filenames-or-paths-with-spaces-require-quotation-marks.
-
On Windows systems only, all the Java based processes - JCP, JWP, REST and the Java based Agents - must be started with the additional Java CLI property -Xrs , so that the proper signal handling is initialized. Make sure not to use it on UNIX systems, as it can interfere with the shutdown process.
