Zooming in the Workflow Editor/Monitor

Large Workflows often span beyond the visible area of the editor or monitor. The zoom tools allow you to adjust the scale of the Workflow to gain a high-level overview of the entire structure or to focus on specific tasks for detailed configuration.

You can adjust the zoom level using any of the following methods:

  • Mouse wheel: Scroll up to zoom in and scroll down to zoom out.

  • Canvas toolbar: Click the + (plus) and - (minus) buttons in the floating toolbar.

  • Keyboard shortcuts:

    • Press + to zoom in.

    • Press - to zoom out.

The zoom functionality is designed to be intuitive and performance-oriented, especially for complex Workflows with hundreds or thousands of tasks:

  • Focus-based zooming

When using the mouse wheel or keyboard shortcuts, the zoom centers on the current position of your mouse pointer. This allows you to "point and zoom" directly into a specific area of interest without manual panning.

  • Selection persistence

If you have one or more tasks selected, they remain selected while you zoom.

  • Infinite zoom

The zoom level is highly flexible, allowing you to zoom out to a 1-pixel level to see the footprint of massive Workflow structures or zoom in to 100% for full task legibility.

Quick Zoom Actions

The floating toolbar provides two "one-click" buttons to quickly reset your view:

  • Fit to View automatically adjusts the zoom level so the entire workflow structure (from Start to End) is visible within the current window.

  • Zoom to 100% resets the zoom to the standard size where task names and icons are clearly legible. This always centers the view on the editor.

Zooming While Moving Tasks

You can change the zoom level even while you are actively dragging a task. This is particularly useful when you need to move a task from one end of a large Workflow to another:

  1. Click and hold the task you want to move.

  2. Use the mouse wheel or the + / - keys to zoom out.

  3. Drag the task to the new location.

  4. Zoom back in to position the task precisely.

About the Mini Map

Managing large, complex Workflows is easier when you can visualize the entire process at a glance. The Mini Map, located at the bottom right corner of the Workflow editor and monitor, provides a high-level bird's-eye view of your automation logic, allowing you to navigate thousands of tasks without losing your place. It serves as a simplified, thumbnail version of your entire Workflow.

The Mini Map and the main Workflow canvas are perfectly synchronized. A highlighted square within the Mini Map represents the area currently visible on your screen.
