Cloud Integrations

Broadcom's Automation Cloud Integrations allow you to easily integrate cloud activities with Automic Automation. Automic Automation effectively establishes a manager of managers, employing a unified tool to manage several disparate cloud scheduling and workflow orchestration solutions and get through end-to-end business process visibility.

Broadcom's Automation Cloud Integrations Agents live within Automic Automation, which gives you full access to allAutomic Automation's functions and features. These Agents have their own release cycle, which is independent of the Automic Automation one.

System administrators carry out the steps required for the integration.

Note: These integration capabilities, like all integrations of the Automic system, can support Service Orchestration Workflows. Such Workflows orchestrate automated processes that run across multiple platforms, domains, and applications to deliver a specific IT service. For more information, see About Service Orchestration in the Automic Automation help, which is available on docs.automic.com.

The Automation Cloud Integrations listed below can be integrated with Automic Automation. The documentation for all these integrations is available under Cloud Integrations at https://docs.automic.com/documentation.

This page includes the following:

AE and Amazon EventBridge

Amazon EventBridge is a scalable, serverless, fully managed event bus that you can use to integrate applications using events. It allows you to route many-to-many events between event-driven services. These Events can come from different sources, such as your own applications, AWS services, and third-party SaaS applications across your organization.

Integrating Automic Automation with Amazon EventBridge allows you to integrate AWS services, SaaS services, and your applications, thus providing a simple and consistent way to receive, filter, transform, and deliver events so that you can build new applications quickly.

The documentation for the EventBridge Agent is available at Automic Automation / Amazon EventBridge Agent Integration.

AE and Ansible Tower

Ansible Tower is designed as a hub for your automation tasks that manages credentials, job templates and job template workflows, executes simple tasks remotely and many more. However, it lacks the powerful orchestrating and scheduling capabilities that Automic Automation offers. With the Automic Automation / Ansible Tower Agent Integration you can manage thousands of servers and databases, pass parameters between playbooks, create Workflows that consists of multiple playbooks, and much more. Automic Automation does the JSON parsing and processing of these complex scenarios.

The documentation for the Ansible Tower Agent is available at Automic Automation / Ansible Tower Agent Integration.

Automation Engine and Apache Airflow

Apache Airflow is a workflow orchestration service that helps you design, schedule and monitor pipelines that spin hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Broadcom's Airflow Agent Integration establishes the connection between the Automation Engine and the Apache Airflow on which your Airflow DAG jobs run. The Airflow Agent starts the execution of these jobs and makes both their monitoring and the corresponding reporting possible.

Automic Automation Run DAG Jobs start and monitor Airflow DAGs on Apache Airflow environments. The Run DAG Job that you create in Automic Automation represents the Airflow DAG on Apache Airflow, not its tasks. When you execute the Automic Automation Run DAG Job, you trigger a run of the Airflow DAG on the target Apache Airflow environment.

The Airflow Agent Integration documentation is available at Automic Automation / Apache Airflow Agent Integration.
