A user connects to UVC will the help of a login / password. This login must possess (via its group) a UVC role that grants the permissions on the UVC graphical functions.
The administrator created during the installation (admin by default) belongs to the “Administrator” group and automatically has full rights for all the products.
Logins belong to groups; themselves are linked to roles that give users permissions on products data and functions.
Logins are stored on UVMS. Permissions obtained by the associated groups / roles are sent to the target node during synchronization between the node and UVMS. They are displayed in the document "View Permissions" described.
If the LDAP group synchronization is activated, each time a user is created in a synchronized LDAP group; it can be added to UVMS. A LDAP user account creation only makes sense if a user which has not been created by synchronization must be added.
If LDAP and automatic registration of LDAP users is enabled, valid LDAP users can be created automatically in the logins list. Refer to the Univiewer Administration Guide for details on LDAP configuration.
