Server Engines

This feature displays the status of all Dollar Universe servers and provides engine management functions for one or more DUAS Nodes.

Actions:

• Start

  Except IO in Production Area. Starts the engine without any confirmation window

• Restart

  Available for the IO server in Production Area. This action restarts Dollar Universe from UVC, without using the commands.

• Stop

  Except IO in Production Area. Stops the engine without any confirmation window

• Update

  Available for the Exchanger engine DUAS V5 only. In the window displayed, enter the new value and click OK to accept the entry, or click Cancel.

• Node

  Dollar Universe Node name (not the host name)

• Engine

  Dollar Universe server:

  • IO: data server
  • CDJ: display server
  • CALCULATOR: engine
  • LAUNCHER: engine
  • EXCHANGER: engine
  • SUPERVISOR: engine. Supervises the physical resources
  • BVS: Business View Server: Server responsible for calculating the status of a Job Chain
  • ALERT: Immediate undertaking of generic supervision. Refer to section: "Alerting Rule - Notification".
  • RSY: Synchronization module of jobs statuses with DQM
  • DQM: Distributed Queue Management: Batch queues management server
  • EEP: External Event Processor: First check of physical resources
  • CMD: Command server (DU V5)
  • SYN: Synchronization with UVMS: Node Status, security, Alerting Rules, DUAS Node tables.
  • SAP: Dollar Universe Manager for SAP Solutions server
  • JEE: Dollar Universe Java server
  • GSI: Generic Service for Integrations: runs services for some Managers

  Some Dollar Universe nodes don't have all servers (for example on V5, the CMD server or DQM). If a port number is empty in the Node definition (Administration mode > Nodes > Nodes), the corresponding server is not displayed in the list.

  Others processes can be displayed depending on the Managers installed

• Status

  Started or stopped

• Type

  Dollar Universe

• Company

  The six character Company code.

• Area

  The one character Area identifier (A, I, S or X).

• Start Date

  Date and time the engine was last started (for engines only: Launcher, Calculator, Supervisor and Exchanger).

• Stop Date

  Date and time the engine was last stopped (for engines only: Launcher, Calculator, Supervisor and Exchanger).

• Next Wake Up

  Date and time of the next programmed wake-up for engines only (Launcher, Calculator, Supervisor and Exchanger). E.g. for a Launcher this will be the start time of the next scheduled Job.

• System Node

  Hostname supporting the server in question.

• Process ID

  System Identification of the server process.
